Bolton set to move for Ferrie in 24 hours

Friday, July 03, 2009, 08:00

BOLTON are ready to make another move for Ferrie Bodde in the next 24 hours.

The Premier League club had a £2.5m offer for the Dutch midfielder rejected last week, but manager Gary Megson is still thought to be keen on the player.

Wanderers bid may rise to £3m with more money up front as the initial offer was made up of add-ons.

But it is sure to fall well short of Swansea's £5m valuation of the 27-year-old

Bodde is now back in Holland having returned to Swansea on Wednesday for crunch talks with manager Paulo Sousa and chairman Huw Jenkins to explain why he missed the start of pre-season training on Monday.

That has gone some way to heal a rift that developed after Sousa dubbed the playmaker "disrespectful" and his representatives hit back by criticising the price tag Swansea placed on the ex-Dutch Under23 international.
